The role of a Delivery Driver at US Foods is a pivotal position responsible for the safe and timely delivery of products to customers, reinforcing the company’s reputation for reliability and customer service. Starting at an hourly wage of $36.64, drivers receive a wage increase to $39.00 at their one-year anniversary, with additional annual increases thereafter. This compensation package, combined with potential overtime pay, allows top drivers to earn over $125,000 annually, and an average driver at top pay can expect to make over $105,000 on a four-day workweek schedule. Drivers enjoy a Monday through Friday workweek consisting of four days on with one scheduled on-call day, with dispatch times between 3:00 AM and 5:30 AM and shifts extending over 10 hours until deliveries are completed.

Job Requirements

  • Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
  • Minimum of six months’ commercial driving experience or three months’ commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively during each shift required
  • Comfortable driving and working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops
  • Registered to the FMCSA Clearinghouse
  • Must be able to read and communicate in the English language

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Safely drive trucks to customers and meet scheduled customer delivery times
  • Carefully unload products from the trailer with a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand and place in designated customer storage areas
  • Verify accuracy of delivery with customers and obtain proper signatures
  • Handle collections and payments from customers when applicable
  • Professionally perform customer service responsibilities to enhance our client experience
  • Perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspection
