Job Requirements
- Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years
- Pass post offer drug test
- Pass criminal background check in post offer process
- Pass road test
- Attain or have valid current DOT Health Card
- Able to hand-lift and utilize equipment to move product cases of 60 to 90 pounds throughout shift
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
- Internal candidates must have 1 year of service in good standing and able to attain CDL Permit and DOT Health Card
- External driver school direct hires should have 0-6 months experience with a CDL Permit
- External entry level hires should have 0-12 months with a CDL A
- Valid CDL A
- Must be 21 years of age
- Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements where applicable
Job Duties
- Attend and complete PFG Entry Level Driver Trainee or Dock to Driver Training Program as required
- Ride with and assist driver trainer in executing deliveries following all instructions
- Perform all required safety checks including pre/post trip inspections of tractor/truck and trailer per DOT regulations
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies
- Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight and complete accurate paperwork
- Drive to and deliver customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule
- Unload products, verify delivery with customer obtaining proper signatures, and collect money where required
