The position of Food and Food Service Delivery Driver within Performance Foodservice is integral to maintaining the efficiency and reliability of the nation's food supply chain. This role requires operating various types of vehicles, such as tractor trailers or straight trucks, on both intrastate and interstate routes, including over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, overnight, and drive and drop routes.

Responsibilities include conducting pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections of vehicles and trailers, handling loading and unloading tasks, verifying freight counts, obtaining customer signatures for deliveries, and managing any necessary paperwork with accuracy and attention to detail. The role also involves customer service, requiring professional communication and rapport-building skills to provide the best possible experience for clients.

Performance Foodservice offers competitive compensation, with an average pay range between $75,000 and $100,000+ annually, including uncapped pay potential. Additional incentives consist of a $5,000 sign-on bonus, quarterly safety bonuses, unlimited referral bonuses of $2,500 per referral, and per diem and overnight compensation averaging approximately $145. The standard work schedule typically follows a 4- or 5-day workweek, with up to two nights away from home per week and options for additional days.
