The role of a US Foods Class A Truck Driver is a key position within this large-scale operation. As a delivery driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting and delivering food products to various customers while maintaining strict adherence to scheduled delivery times. The position offers a competitive salary range from $19.62 to $36.92 per hour (subject to benefits costs) and the potential to earn over $100,000 annually. In addition, eligible new hires can receive a $20,000 hiring bonus. The role requires flexibility in work schedules, with shifts running Monday through Saturday and start times between 10 pm and 6 am.
Responsibilities include operating large commercial trucks with a valid Class A CDL license, conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment, and carefully unloading goods at customer locations using appropriate tools like pallet jacks or two-wheelers. Accuracy in verifying deliveries and obtaining customer signatures is paramount, as well as managing any collections or payments when necessary. Beyond the technical skills, the driver is often the face of US Foods to customers, expected to provide professional customer service and foster positive relationships that enhance the overall client experience.
Physical demands for the role involve regularly lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling products weighing between 20 to over 80 pounds, and the ability to work in various weather conditions with frequent stops. Candidates must be able to operate a manual transmission truck and communicate effectively in English, understanding all traffic laws and reporting requirements. Registration with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) Clearinghouse for drug and alcohol program violations is mandatory, ensuring compliance with Department of Transportation regulations.

Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Valid Class A CDL license with endorsements
- Minimum six months Class A commercial truck driving experience or three months in food/beverage delivery
- Ability to operate manual transmission
- Ability to read, understand, and communicate in English
- Registered with FMCSA Clearinghouse
- Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs
- Comfortable driving in inclement weather
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including night shifts
Job Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements
- Minimum six months of Class A commercial truck driving experience in any industry or three months in food and beverage delivery
- Ability to operate manual transmission
- Ability to communicate in English including traffic signs and official inquiries
- Registration with FMCSA Clearinghouse
Job Duties
- Safely drive trucks to customers and meet scheduled customer delivery times
- Carefully unload products from the trailer with a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand and place in designated customer storage areas
- Verify accuracy of delivery with customers and obtain proper signatures
- Handle collections and payments from customers when applicable
- Professionally perform customer service responsibilities to enhance our client experience
- Perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspection
