This role is a local driver position at US Foods, offering an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to build a career in the food distribution industry. The schedule is designed to provide a balanced work-life dynamic, featuring a Monday through Friday routine with weekends off, a four-day work week, and early morning start times between 3 AM and 6 AM. As a US Foods driver, the primary responsibility is to safely deliver food products to customers on schedule while adhering to company safety and operational procedures. Drivers will be expected to carefully unload deliveries using equipment such as two-wheelers and pallet jacks, verify the accuracy of each order with customers, and obtain required signatures. Additional duties include handling collections and payments when applicable and providing courteous, professional customer service to enhance the overall client experience. Drivers must conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of their equipment to ensure safety and compliance, and they must be prepared to work in varying weather conditions with frequent stops throughout their routes.

Ideal candidates for this position will be at least 21 years old and possess a valid CDL Class A license with the necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications. Additionally, drivers must be registered with the FMCSA Clearinghouse, a federal database tracking drug and alcohol program violations for commercial drivers. Proficiency in English is necessary for effective communication, understanding highway signs, and completing required documentation.
