This role as a US Foods driver is a local driving position with a schedule designed for work-life balance, featuring a four-day workweek and weekends off. Drivers start their shifts early in the morning, between 3 AM and 6 AM, and work approximately 45 hours per week. The compensation package is competitive, with drivers earning a starting hourly wage of $31.93 plus overtime, reflecting the company's commitment to rewarding hard work and dedication.

As a driver, you will be responsible for safely operating delivery trucks, ensuring product accuracy, and maintaining high standards of customer service. Duties include unloading products using equipment such as two-wheelers and pallet jacks, making accurate deliveries, obtaining customer signatures, and managing payments where applicable. The role requires physical stamina to handle lifting and moving products weighing 20 to over 80 pounds frequently during shifts, as well as the ability to work in varying weather conditions with frequent stops. Safety is a priority, so pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections are essential to ensure operational integrity.

This driver position requires a valid CDL Class A with appropriate endorsements, registration with the FMCSA Clearinghouse, and a minimum level of commercial driving experience. Job Requirements

  • Must have valid CDL Class A license with endorsements
  • Registered to the FMCSA Clearinghouse
  • Minimum of six months commercial driving experience or three months in food/beverage delivery
  • Ability to operate manual transmission preferred
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs repeatedly
  • Comfortable driving and working in inclement weather
  • Must be able to read and communicate in English

Job Qualifications

  • Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
  • Minimum of six months commercial driving experience or three months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry
  • Ability to operate manual transmission preferred
  • Must be able to read and communicate in the English language
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Registered to the FMCSA Clearinghouse

Job Duties

  • Safely drive trucks to customers and meet scheduled customer delivery times
  • Carefully unload products from the trailer with a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand and place in designated customer storage areas
  • Verify accuracy of delivery with customers and obtain proper signatures
  • Handle collections and payments from customers when applicable
  • Professionally perform customer service responsibilities to enhance our client experience
  • Perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspection
