The Driver role at US Foods is a vital position responsible for ensuring timely and safe delivery of products to customers. This full-time position offers a competitive compensation package, including a $28.50 per hour training base rate spanning 2-8 weeks, followed by a pay structure based on mileage, cases, and stops completed, alongside other available incentives. Candidates also have the opportunity to receive a $5000 retention bonus if they meet qualifying criteria. This role includes a four-day workweek schedule (Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday) with early morning dispatch times between 2:00 AM and 6:00 AM, continuing until all deliveries are successfully completed.
Drivers must operate commercial trucks safely and efficiently, use equipment such as pallet jacks and two-wheelers to unload product, verify delivery accuracy, handle customer collections when necessary, and provide exceptional customer service. Emphasis is placed on performing thorough pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections, maintaining vehicle safety, and adhering to all Department of Transportation regulations. The position requires physical stamina to lift and move heavy products in various weather conditions and necessitates compliance with FMCSA Clearinghouse registration requirements.

Job Requirements
- Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have valid CDL Class A with endorsements and DOT qualifications
- Minimum six months commercial driving experience or three months in food/beverage delivery
- Ability to operate manual transmission preferred
- Must read and communicate in English
- Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs
- Comfortable driving and working in inclement weather
- Must hold a valid CDL issued by state of residence
Job Qualifications
- Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
- Minimum of six months commercial driving experience or three months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry
- Ability to operate manual transmission preferred
- Must be able to read and communicate in the English language
Job Duties
- Safely drive trucks to customers and meet scheduled customer delivery times
- Carefully unload products from the trailer with a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand and place in designated customer storage areas
- Verify accuracy of delivery with customers and obtain proper signatures
- Handle collections and payments from customers when applicable
- Professionally perform customer service responsibilities to enhance our client experience
- Perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections
