The company prides itself on providing a safe and inclusive work environment, fostering a culture of rewards, recognition, and respect, while supporting the essential work of food distribution. Core-Mark is committed to equal employment opportunities for all individuals regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, or other protected characteristics, adhering strictly to federal, state, and local EEO laws and policies.

This position is for a Food and Food Service Delivery Driver who plays an essential role in ensuring the smooth functioning of America's food supply chain. The driver not only guarantees timely delivery of food products to customers but also embodies the company's face by establishing lasting customer relationships. Employment is full-time with a schedule from Monday through Friday, featuring local routes that allow drivers to be home nightly with weekends off. Typical shifts start around 6:00 am, although exact times and earnings, ranging between $80,000 and $100,000 annually, are discussed during interviews. Drivers are entrusted with operating tractor-trailers or straight trucks on various routes, including intrastate, interstate, shuttle, overnight, and drive-and-drop tasks. The role demands adherence to strict Department of Transportation regulations to maintain safety and regulatory compliance.

Drivers deliver and unload food and food-related products while maintaining the integrity and security of freight. They perform pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections, ensure that trucks and trailers meet company and DOT standards, and promptly report any issues or repairs. Accurate handling of paperwork and invoices is crucial, alongside securing freight correctly and maintaining clean and organized equipment and trailers. Additionally, drivers may need to collect payments and manage customer returns. This comprehensive role requires physical capability to handle freight ranging from 10 to 90 pounds using equipment like two-wheelers and lift gates, emphasizing safety and efficiency.

The company provides an attractive benefits package, which includes day-one health and wellness benefits, an employee stock purchase plan, 401K employer matching, education assistance, paid time off, and more. These benefits, coupled with professional growth opportunities, contribute to a rewarding and stable career path in an industry-critical function. Core-Mark’s position as a Fortune 150 company and its expansive reach into the food distribution sector make it an employer of choice for those looking to build a long-term career in logistics and transportation under a supportive and inclusive corporate culture.
