The position available is for an entry-level Driver Trainee role within Performance Foodservice. This role is vital to supporting America’s food distribution system by ensuring timely and safe delivery of various food and related products. The Driver Trainee will gain hands-on experience driving tractor trailers or straight trucks on intrastate or interstate routes, including local, over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, and overnight deliveries. Working 4 to 5 days a week from early morning until the completion of duties, the trainee will be trained under the PFG Entry Level Driver Trainee or Dock to Driver Training Program, focusing on safety, compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and excellent customer service. The average pay rate after training exceeds $1,600 per week, plus a $2,500 sign-on bonus subject to eligibility.

Beyond driving, the role involves responsibilities such as conducting thorough vehicle safety inspections, assisting in loading and unloading deliveries, managing delivery paperwork and customer interactions, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
