Known for its commitment to exceptional service, Performance Foodservice provides not only high-quality food products but also expert advice and support through a dedicated team of sales representatives, chefs, consultants, and other specialists. This team works closely with customers to enhance their operations, assist in menu development, optimize product selections, and implement effective operational strategies. Beyond delivering delicious food, the company takes pride in empowering independent restaurant owners and other clients to achieve their business goals and dreams, fostering long-term partnerships grounded in trust and performance.

This role is for a CDL-A Driver at Performance Foodservice, a vital position within the company’s logistics and distribution network. The CDL-A Driver plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity and efficiency of the food supply chain by ensuring that products reach customers on time and in excellent condition. The driver operates tractor trailers or straight trucks on intrastate and interstate routes, including local, over-the-road, shuttle, and overnight assignments. Responsibilities encompass thorough vehicle inspections, adherence to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, secure loading and unloading procedures, and accurate record-keeping. This position offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $85,000 annually and operates on a schedule from Sunday through Thursday with dispatching after 7 pm, typically involving a 4-5 day workweek.

Performance Foodservice emphasizes safety, professionalism, and customer relationship management, making the CDL-A Driver the company's representative on the road and a key point of contact with customers. The company provides extensive benefits from day one, including health and wellness coverage, a robust employee stock purchase plan, 401K with employer matching, education assistance, and paid time off. Additionally, new hires are eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus paid incrementally. The company promotes a safe, inclusive workplace culture that rewards and recognizes employee contributions while offering growth opportunities within its network.
