This company not only focuses on food delivery but actively helps independent restaurant owners and other clients achieve their business goals through personalized and professional support.

Work schedules are Monday to Friday day shifts, with the convenience of returning home daily, promoting a healthy work-life balance.
The CDL-A Driver role at Performance Foodservice is a crucial position within the company’s logistics and delivery operations. These drivers are responsible for operating tractor-trailers or straight trucks both within states and across state lines. Whether performing local deliveries, over-the-road (OTR) routes, shuttles, or drive and drop assignments, drivers ensure that food and related products reach customers safely, on time, and in excellent condition. This role demands professionalism as drivers act as the company’s direct representatives, building and nurturing strong customer relationships by providing exceptional service.
Key responsibilities for the CDL-A Driver include performing mandatory pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections on vehicles according to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, ensuring that all freight is correctly loaded and secured, and verifying delivery paperwork accuracy. Drivers must communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and team members to swiftly resolve questions or issues. They are expected to adhere strictly to DOT and company safety policies, promptly reporting hazards or needed repairs. The daily activities also involve loading, unloading, and transporting goods into customer storage areas, checking for damaged goods, securing freight, collecting payments when required, and maintaining detailed logs of hours of service in compliance with federal, state, and corporate standards.
Performance Foodservice fosters a safe and respectful working environment where recognition and reward are integral to company culture. The company also complies with all employment laws, including those concerning equal opportunity and protections against unlawful employment practices. CDL-A Drivers are considered essential to the supply chain, enabling the distribution of food products that nourish communities nationwide. This job is ideal for candidates who thrive in a dynamic, customer-facing transportation role and are committed to safety and quality service.
