Job Description

Chick-fil-A Supply is a wholly owned subsidiary of Chick-fil-A, Inc., dedicated to providing innovative and reliable distribution services tailored specifically to meet the needs of Chick-fil-A restaurants. Operating out of West Columbia, SC, Chick-fil-A Supply strives to be the world's most caring distribution company by prioritizing safety, care, and excellence across all its operations. The company focuses on delivering seamless and timely supply of food and products to multiple Chick-fil-A locations, ensuring that restaurants are well-stocked and ready to serve customers at all times. With a strong culture of care and an emphasis on fostering growth opportunities, Chick-fil-A Supply creates a supportive work environment for all its team members.

The role of a CDL A driver at Chick-fil-A Supply involves operating state-of-the-art tractors and trailers to deliver product safely and efficiently to Chick-fil-A restaurants. Drivers use the latest technology, such as GPS, rear and side view cameras, and battery-powered pallet jacks, to facilitate smooth deliveries. With a flexible work schedule that ensures drivers get home daily, this position offers guaranteed minimum weekly pay ranging from $1,400 to $1,700 based on experience, along with overtime compensation for hours worked beyond 40 each week.

Beyond competitive pay, employees enjoy over $22,000 worth of benefits annually, which include free food and drinks during work shifts, generous paid time off including holidays and parental leave, a variety of health insurance options, a 401(k) retirement plan with a company match, and education support for continuing personal development. Drivers also have access to in-house maintenance teams and premium equipment designed for comfort and efficiency.

The scheduled workweek is typically Sunday through Friday, starting between 6 p.m. and midnight, with two consecutive nights off weekly plus Saturdays off. This schedule generally entails 40 to 45+ hours per week. Drivers must be comfortable working in extreme temperatures ranging from -10F to 100F as the job involves outdoor work, usually conducted during nights. Additionally, the job requires physical stamina to lift up to 65 pounds regularly and occasionally assist with moving up to 2,000 pounds using mechanical equipment.

Day-to-day responsibilities include making safe and timely deliveries, unloading and staging products at multiple restaurants, completing pickups and returns of pallets and carts, assisting in unloading equipment upon returning to the distribution center, and maintaining all vehicle inspection and safety protocols. Drivers must adhere to DOT regulations, including hours-of-service limits and maintaining a clean safety record. Communication skills are essential, as drivers build relationships with restaurant operators and collaborate with team leaders to improve delivery processes. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to company values such as honor, dignity, and respect are key aspects of this role.

This position requires a minimum of one year of tractor/trailer driving experience, a Class A CDL from the state of residence, and compliance with all DOT and company policies, including successful completion of background checks and drug tests. The ideal candidate is a safe, professional driver with a passion for customer service and prior food service delivery experience. Relocation assistance is not provided, and candidates must live within 60 miles of the West Columbia distribution center at the time of hire.

Chick-fil-A Supply offers an exceptional opportunity for dedicated drivers looking to join a company that values safety, care, and team spirit while providing the tools and environment for personal and professional growth.
