US Foods operates with a strong culture of promoting from within, providing excellent training programs, and focusing on continuous improvement to ensure long-term career growth for its employees.

For individuals seeking a stable and rewarding career in transportation within the food service industry, US Foods offers a dynamic opportunity as a US Foods Driver. This position involves safely driving trucks to deliver food products to customers while maintaining scheduled delivery times. The role requires physically handling products, verifying delivery accuracy with customers, obtaining signatures, and occasionally managing collections and payments. Drivers are pivotal in representing the company to customers and enhancing their service experience.

The work schedule for this position includes routes that run 7 days a week, typically starting early from 3AM to 6AM, with 30 to 70 hours per week. The position will undergo relocation to Aurora, Illinois in mid-2026. Compensation for this role is competitive, ranging from $35.89 to $39.88 per hour, depending on the candidate's experience, education, and specific skills. Additionally, the benefits package may include health insurance, pre-tax spending accounts, retirement benefits, paid time off, short-term and long-term disability coverage, an employee stock purchase plan, and life insurance.

This role demands a strong commitment to safety and customer service, requiring drivers to perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of their equipment and to navigate and operate vehicles safely under various weather and road conditions. The physical requirements are rigorous, including the ability to lift and move products weighing 20 to over 80 pounds repeatedly during each shift. Familiarity with manual transmissions is preferred and may be necessary in some locations.

To qualify for this role, candidates must meet several critical requirements such as being at least 21 years old, possessing a valid CDL Class A license issued by the state of residence with necessary endorsements, and having a minimum of six months of commercial driving experience (with special consideration for food or beverage delivery industry experience). Candidates must also be registered with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) Clearinghouse, which is a mandatory safety regulation aimed at monitoring drug and alcohol program violations.

Joining US Foods as a driver means becoming part of a team that values integrity, reliability, and collaborative spirit. Drivers not only deliver food products but also build trustworthy relationships with customers, reflecting the company's cultural beliefs and work ethic. US Foods supports its employees through comprehensive Total Rewards programs designed to recognize their dedication and hard work.
