Job Description
Performance Foodservice, a leading broadline distributor under Performance Food Group (PFG), has earned a distinguished reputation for nurturing strong relationships with a diverse portfolio of local customers including independent restaurants, hotels, healthcare facilities, schools, and quick-service eateries. With a dedicated team comprising sales representatives, chefs, consultants, and other industry experts, the company not only provides top-quality food products but also delivers tailored advice on menu development, product selection, operational strategies, and ways to boost overall business performance. This customer-centric approach, combined with the deep expertise of its staff, ensures that Performance Foodservice goes beyond simply delivering goods—it plays an instrumental role in helping independent restaurant owners and food service operators realize their dreams and elevate their operations to new heights.
Performance Foodservice is currently seeking skilled and motivated Food and Food Service Delivery Drivers to join its team. This role is essential to the company’s promise of timely and safe delivery of food products, pivotal to keeping America's food supply chain running smoothly. The ideal candidate will be entrusted with driving tractor trailers or straight trucks across intrastate and interstate routes while ensuring compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) safety regulations and company standards. Delivery drivers will serve as the face of the company, building lasting relationships with customers through professional interactions and reliable service.
Drivers benefit from competitive pay ranging from $75,000 to $100,000 annually, with uncapped pay potential. The role also offers quarterly safety bonuses, unlimited referral bonuses of $2,500 per successful referral, and a $5,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates who have not worked for a PFG-owned company in the past six months. Employees enjoy a flexible work schedule with a typical 4- or 5-day work week and opportunities for additional workdays, including up to two nights away from home per week compensated at approximately $145 for per diem and overnight expenses. Experience working in a safe and inclusive environment that emphasizes rewards, recognition, and respect, alongside extensive growth opportunities, makes this position a compelling career choice.
Additional employee benefits include day-one health and wellness coverage, an Employee Stock Purchase Plan, 401K employer matching, education assistance, paid time off, and more. This role not only supports the country’s essential food distribution infrastructure but also offers an environment focused on individual success and personal development. Delivery drivers will be expected to perform thorough pre- and post-trip inspections to meet DOT safety standards, efficiently manage delivery logistics from loading docks to customer storage areas, and handle related paperwork and payment collections. Through professionalism, attention to detail, and a positive attitude, drivers contribute directly to customer satisfaction and the company’s excellent reputation in the foodservice industry.
