Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent
  • 6+ months commercial driving experience
  • Valid CDL-A license
  • Must be 21 years or older
  • Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements where applicable
  • Clean motor vehicle report for past 3 years
  • Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check
  • Pass road test
  • Valid current DOT health card or ability to obtain new one
  • Ability to hand-lift and use two-wheeler, lift gate, and other equipment to move products

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Perform required safety checks including pre/post trip inspections
  • Inspect tractor/truck and trailer to ensure they meet safety standards
  • Follow all DOT regulations and safe driving policies
  • Inspect trailers for properly loaded and secured freight
  • Perform count checks of items and verify customer invoices
  • Drive to and deliver customer orders according to route schedules
  • Unload products and transport items to designated areas
  • Perform damage control checks and contact supervisor if needed
  • Verify deliveries with customer and obtain signatures
  • Collect payments where required
  • Load customer returns onto trailer and secure doors
  • Ensure tractor, trailer, and freight are always properly locked and secured
  • Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and legibly
  • Maintain daily hours of service logs in compliance with regulations
  • Perform general housekeeping duties in tractor and dock areas
  • Secure equipment and complete all paperwork at shift end
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
