These drivers act as the face of Core-Mark, fostering strong, lasting relationships with customers by delivering consistent and reliable service. This job offers competitive pay starting at $20.00 per hour, with additional performance incentives and quarterly bonuses. Average annual earnings can range from $80,000 to over $100,000 based on performance, which will be discussed during the interview process. The position involves driving tractor-trailers or straight trucks on various routes including intrastate, interstate, shuttle, and overnight deliveries. Drivers are responsible for safe and timely delivery of food and related products following Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. The role demands adherence to company safety practices, diligent vehicle and freight inspections, timely and accurate completion of delivery paperwork, and professional interaction with customers, co-workers, and vendors. Delivering excellence involves unloading orders carefully, managing returns, handling customer payments where applicable, and ensuring the overall safety and security of the vehicle and freight throughout the shift. Drivers also perform routine housekeeping and equipment security tasks, contributing to an organized and efficient workflow.
