Compensation includes competitive hourly pay starting at $20.00, performance incentives, and quarterly bonuses, with the potential for average annual earnings ranging from $80,000 to $100,000 or more based on performance.

Beyond transportation duties, the driver actively participates in safety inspections, complies with Department of Transportation regulations, and completes necessary paperwork accurately. Responsibilities also extend to loading and unloading goods, verifying deliveries with customers, handling returns, and maintaining cleanliness and security of the tractor and trailers. The role demands a professional approach to interacting with customers, vendors, and coworkers, ensuring clear and timely communication. Candidates for this position should possess a valid CDL-A license, be at least 21 years old, have a clean motor vehicle report, and meet all applicable state licensing and health card requirements. The physical demands include the ability to hand-lift and use equipment to handle freight typically weighing between 10-35 pounds, with occasional heavier items up to approximately 90 pounds.

Working with Core-Mark provides excellent career growth opportunities in a stable industry, backed by a company that offers comprehensive benefits from day one, including health and wellness programs, a 401K plan with employer matching, employee stock purchase options, education assistance, and paid time off.
