Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- at least 6 months commercial driving experience
- valid CDL A license
- minimum age of 21 years
- meet state licensing and certification requirements
- clean Motor Vehicle Report for past 3 years
- pass drug test after job offer
- pass road test
- current DOT Health Card
- ability to hand-lift and use equipment for moving product cases
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
- 6 plus months commercial driving experience
- valid CDL A
- must be 21 years of age
- meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements where applicable
- clean Motor Vehicle Report for past 3 years
- pass post offer drug test
- pass road test
- attain or have valid current DOT Health Card
- able to hand-lift and utilize equipment to move product cases/freight generally ranging from approximately 60 to 90 pounds
Job Duties
- Attend and successfully complete PFG Entry Level Driver Trainee or Dock to Driver Training Program as required
- ride with and assist driver trainer in executing deliveries as required
- perform all required safety checks including pre/post trip inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to DOT regulations
- follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies
- inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight and complete all required paperwork accurately
- drive to and deliver customer orders according to predetermined delivery schedules
- unload products from the trailer and transport items into designated customer storage areas
- verify delivery of items with customers and obtain proper signatures
- collect payments where required
- secure tractor, trailer, and freight at all times
- unload damaged goods and customer returns and complete necessary paperwork
- complete daily record of hours of service in compliance with DOT, state, and company requirements
- perform general housekeeping duties in tractor and loading dock areas
- perform other related duties as assigned
