The company prides itself on its internal promotion practices, whereby a significant majority of leadership roles are filled with homegrown talent, reinforcing the organization's commitment to career development.

As a CDL A Delivery Driver at Gordon Food Service, based in Lithia Springs, GA, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficient delivery of essential food products to a diverse client base. This position is designed for individuals who have a passion for driving and enjoy the rewards of direct customer interaction. The role offers the benefit of day shifts and local routes, ensuring that drivers return home daily, which greatly supports work-life balance. Drivers are responsible not only for the safe and timely delivery of products but also for building lasting relationships with customers by representing GFS with professionalism and care.

The role involves physical activity, including unloading cases that can weigh up to 100 pounds using a ramp and a two-wheeler. This hands-on aspect is ideal for motivated individuals who thrive in active environments and appreciate the tangible impact they have on customer satisfaction. Importantly, newly licensed CDL drivers are welcome to apply, highlighting GFS's commitment to developing talent and supporting those new to their driving careers.

GFS offers a competitive pay structure for drivers, with an average annual earning potential ranging from $68,000 to $100,000. Drivers receive a guaranteed minimum weekly pay of $1,300, supplemented by daily base pay, component pay, and additional compensation for every mile driven, stop made, and case delivered. This ensures that driven and efficient drivers are rewarded for their efforts. The schedule typically spans Monday through Friday with start times between 3 AM and 5 AM until routes are completed.

Beyond competitive pay, Gordon Food Service provides comprehensive benefits that begin on the first day of employment, including affordable health insurance options, profit sharing, and a 401(k) plan with a 4% match, underscoring their investment in employees’ financial and personal well-being. The company fosters a culture where employees matter and are respected, ensuring a safe and secure work environment.

In summary, the CDL A Delivery Driver position at Gordon Food Service is an excellent opportunity for dedicated individuals seeking a stable, rewarding career in foodservice logistics.
