Job Description

Schneider National is a leading transportation and logistics company headquartered in Green Bay, Wisconsin, known for its commitment to innovation, driver satisfaction, and safety. With over 85 years of experience in the trucking industry, Schneider has built a reputation for reliability, operational excellence, and inclusive company culture. The company specializes in dedicated freight, truckload, intermodal, and logistics services, making it one of the largest and most respected carriers in the United States. Schneider’s fleet includes some of the most modern and well-maintained equipment in the industry, emphasizing the comfort and safety of its drivers. The company employs thousands of professional drivers and support staff across multiple states, fostering a strong community driven by respect, diversity, and career growth opportunities.

You will be joining Schneider as a Company Driver dedicated to hauling store merchandise within the western states, including California, Nevada, Oregon, and Utah. This role involves operating dry van trailers to transport goods that are hand unloaded using gravity rollers, contributing to efficient and safe delivery operations. Drivers typically manage 2 to 5 loads per week, with 1 to 5 stop-offs per load, ensuring a steady pace without the unpredictability of long-haul runs, and enjoy weekly home time. The position offers competitive weekly pay ranging from $1,630 to $1,880, supplemented by mileage pay, load pay, and hourly pay for on-duty but non-driving periods. A robust bonus program is also part of the compensation package, which includes weekly performance bonuses and an annual bonus equal to up to 2% of your gross pay. Additionally, Schneider provides paid orientation and paid time off after six months, plus six days of holiday pay annually.

As a Schneider dedicated driver, you will benefit from dependable weekly paychecks reflecting the consistent weekly miles driven, the opportunity to become familiar with your routes and customers, and an inclusive pay package that compensates all aspects of your work. Schneider’s commitment to its drivers is evident in its company-paid CDL training programs, leading equipment specs designed for comfort, and numerous additional benefits such as medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, and military experience recognition. The company's inclusive culture emphasizes dignity, respect, and equal opportunity for all employees, fostering a supportive environment for diverse talent. Schneider uses E-Verify to confirm employment eligibility for all new hires and is proactive about providing reasonable accommodations during the hiring process in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). This full-time company driver role offers a sign-on bonus and is targeted toward CDL holders residing within 50 miles of Stockton, California, combining competitive compensation, a supportive work environment, and solid career advancement prospects.
