Job Description
Schneider is a leading transportation and logistics company that offers a wide array of trucking services across North America. Established with a commitment to safety, technology, and driver satisfaction, Schneider has built its reputation as a dependable and innovative trucking leader. The company specializes in providing logistics solutions that help businesses meet their shipping needs efficiently and effectively. With a vast network of terminals and advanced technology, Schneider supports its drivers with industry-leading equipment and a culture that values diversity, inclusion, and respect. Schneider offers comprehensive benefits and competitive pay to ensure its drivers feel valued and supported in their roles.
This position is for a Dedicated Team Truck Driver with Schneider. The role primarily involves hauling general merchandise using double pup trailers. It's designed for CDL holders who prefer predictable routes and consistent home time, with runs mostly east of the Mississippi River on a terminal-to-terminal basis. This role is 100% no-touch, meaning drivers do not handle freight loading or unloading, and it involves 100% drop-and-hook freight to maximize driver efficiency and minimize wait times. A unique feature of this position is Schneider's Team Pet Policy, allowing drivers to bring their dogs or cats on the road. The pay structure includes mileage pay plus hourly pay while on duty but not driving, weekly performance-based pay, and a generous sign-on bonus paid over the first year. The pay ranges between $1,940 and $2,375 weekly.
New hires enjoy paid orientation and are eligible for paid time off after six months, holiday pay, and an annual bonus of up to 2% of their annual gross pay. The position requires that drivers hold a valid Class A CDL along with doubles/triples and HazMat endorsements at the time of hire. For those needing a HazMat endorsement, Schneider offers guidance and reimbursement options for certification. Candidates must live within 75 miles of Smyrna, TN. Schneider also supports drivers new to the industry by offering company-paid CDL training programs.
Beyond pay and career growth opportunities, Schneider fosters an inclusive culture emphasizing dignity and respect for all employees, valuing diversity across many dimensions including race, gender, age, and veteran status. The company also provides a robust benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with company match, reimbursement of HazMat endorsement fees, unlimited referral bonuses, and credit for military experience. Schneider's commitment to dependable paychecks and consistent routes helps drivers establish familiarity with their routes and customers, further enhancing job satisfaction and stability. This is a full-time position with a strong emphasis on safety, reliability, and driver comfort, making it an excellent choice for those dedicated to a trucking career with a supportive employer.
