Job Description
Estes is a well-established leader in the transportation and logistics industry, offering reliable freight hauling services across the United States. Known for its commitment to driver safety, satisfaction, and a culture of inclusivity, Estes has built a reputation as a trusted employer within the trucking sector. Their innovative approaches and use of advanced equipment offer drivers a comfortable and efficient work environment. Focusing on dedicated team truck driving roles, Estes provides opportunities for professional growth, competitive compensation, and comprehensive benefits to support their employees' wellbeing.
The Dedicated Team Truck Driver position at Estes is designed for CDL holders who seek a consistent and rewarding driving career. This full-time role offers average weekly pay ranging from $1,940 to $2,375, ensuring dependable and competitive earnings. Drivers work primarily east of the Mississippi River, hauling general merchandise with double pup trailers on 100% no-touch and drop-and-hook freight, eliminating the need for manual loading and unloading. Home time is scheduled every three weeks, allowing drivers a predictable work-life balance. A unique perk includes the company's Team Pet Policy, where drivers can bring their dogs or cats along for the journey, enhancing the overall work experience.
This role emphasizes safety and reliability, with mileage pay supplemented by hourly wages during on-duty but non-driving times. Weekly performance pay rewards consistent excellence, and recently onboarded drivers can benefit from generous sign-on bonuses—$10,000 for experienced drivers and $5,000 for those new to the industry—distributed over 12 months. Additionally, Estes offers paid orientation and paid time off after just six months, alongside six holiday days per year. Drivers also have the chance to earn an annual bonus of up to 2% of their gross pay, encouraging long-term commitment and superior job performance.
Estes expects its team drivers to hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License with doubles/triples and HazMat endorsements at the time of hire. The company is supportive, even providing online HazMat certification and reimbursement options for those who need it. It also offers company-paid CDL training programs for candidates without prior certification, providing a clear pathway into the trucking profession. The role requires drivers to live within 75 miles of San Antonio, TX, ensuring a local, community-based operation.
Additional benefits highlight Estes' dedication to employee wellness and security, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, and unlimited referral bonuses. The company reimburses HazMat endorsements upon receipt and values military experience by offering credit and specialized apprenticeship programs. Estes invests in driver comfort by equipping trucks with leading technology and ergonomic specs, contributing to an overall positive driver experience.
Choosing to drive dedicated team routes with Estes means dependable paychecks reflecting consistent miles, as well as the chance to develop familiarity with routes and customers, fostering professional relationships that enhance job satisfaction. Estes proudly promotes an inclusive culture that values diversity across all dimensions and supports equal access to opportunities, fostering an environment that thrives on respect and innovation. Furthermore, Estes adheres to E-Verify processes to ensure employment eligibility, maintaining compliance and integrity in its hiring practices.
