With decades of experience in the industry, Schneider offers a variety of driving opportunities for Commercial Driver's License (CDL) holders, focusing on driver well-being, competitive pay, and comprehensive benefits. The company is recognized for its inclusive culture, promoting diversity and respect across all levels, making it an employer of choice for professional drivers across the United States. Schneider emphasizes long-term driver satisfaction by providing dependable paychecks, familiar routes, and all-encompassing pay packages tailored to the exact job responsibilities, fostering a trusted partnership between driver and company.
This specific opportunity is for a Dedicated Team Truck Driver position based out of French Camp, California, covering routes within the Western 11 states. The role involves hauling sporting goods to and from retail stores using dry van trailers. It is designed for drivers who prefer consistency with home time every other week and minimal handling of freight since the job is 100% no-touch and 90% drop-and-hook freight. Drivers will manage 2 to 5 loads weekly, with 1-3 stop-offs per load, performing slow-speed maneuvers and complex backing regularly, requiring skillful vehicle control.
The compensation for this position is attractive, offering an average weekly pay range of $1,370 to $1,670. Pay is combination of mileage rates and hourly pay during on-duty non-driving tasks. Added financial incentives include weekly performance pay, a $10,000 sign-on bonus for experienced drivers paid over 12 months, and a $5,000 sign-on bonus for less experienced drivers under the same terms. The company also offers paid orientation, paid time off after six months with six days of holiday pay annually, and an annual bonus program where drivers can earn up to 2% of their gross annual pay.
In addition to competitive pay, Schneider supports its drivers' health and financial security with medical, dental, and vision insurance benefits, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, unlimited referral bonuses, and credits for military experience. The fleet features leading edge equipment and technology designed for driver comfort and safety, enhancing the driving experience. The company encourages drivers to bring their pets on the road under its Team Pet Policy, promoting quality of life on the road.
Schneider fosters an inclusive work culture where diversity in all its forms is embraced and respected, ensuring equitable access to opportunities and resources for all employees. The company is compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and accommodates applicants who require assistance during the hiring process. Schneider uses E-Verify to confirm employment eligibility, ensuring adherence to federal regulations.
This full-time role is ideal for CDL holders living within 50 miles of French Camp, CA, seeking a reliable and rewarding career in truck driving. For those needing CDL training, Schneider offers company-paid training programs, providing a pathway to enter the profession without upfront costs. Overall, this job opportunity blends excellent compensation, dependable schedules, strong support systems, and a respectful community environment, making Schneider an outstanding choice for dedicated team truck drivers.
