Job Description

Sysco is the global leader in foodservice distribution, operating with a vast network that includes over 67,000 associates, more than 13,000 vehicles, and approximately 330 distribution facilities worldwide. Serving over 600,000 customer locations, Sysco is dedicated to delivering high-quality products and exceptional service to the foodservice industry. The company prides itself not only on its extensive reach but also on its commitment to innovation, reliability, and customer satisfaction. Their employees are at the heart of this success, contributing to a culture that values hard work, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

This role is for dependable Class A Commercial Driver License (CDLA) Backhaul Delivery Truck Drivers who will safely and efficiently operate tractor-trailers to transport doubles, and potentially triples, between Sysco facilities and shuttle yards. These drivers play a critical role in maintaining the supply chain flow and ensuring that products reach their destinations on time. The position offers most drivers the benefit of being home daily, which supports a balanced work-life environment. Drivers at Sysco build strong relationships with customers through their positive and friendly attitudes, becoming familiar with individual customer operations to meet specific needs and expectations.

In this role, drivers will be responsible for the careful handling and transport of products, requiring attention to safety standards and a proactive approach to problem-solving on the road. The job demands a physical capability to handle freight, often involving lifting, pushing, or moving products weighing on average 40-60 pounds and occasionally as much as 100 pounds. Drivers need to be vigilant and responsive, interfacing with customers and other stakeholders to provide high-level service. Sysco emphasizes ongoing training and career growth opportunities, encouraging drivers to develop their skills and advance within the company. Comprehensive benefits including excellent pay with productivity incentives, paid vacation and holidays, healthcare coverage, and retirement plans make this position not just a job but a career opportunity within a global industry leader. Drivers also enjoy employee discount programs, including discounts on Sysco stock, uniforms provided by the company, and other numerous perks designed to support and reward their dedication.

By joining Sysco as a CDLA Backhaul Delivery Truck Driver, you become part of a company that is more than just a workplace — it is a passionate community driven by food and customer service excellence. Sysco champions a vision of thinking bigger, working harder, and never giving up, striving to maintain its leadership position in the industry. If you are ready to drive success and build a career in a dynamic and supportive environment, this opportunity offers the right platform to achieve your professional goals while enjoying competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.
