The role of the Angiography Technologist at Legacy Emanuel Medical Center is both critical and rewarding. Working in the brand new Cath Lab, equipped with advanced imaging technologies and designed for optimal workflow and patient care, the Angiography Technologist is instrumental in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular conditions. The Cath Lab environment is specially tailored to meet high standards and includes the latest equipment to support complex procedures. As an Angiography Technologist, you will be responsible for performing imaging procedures according to physician orders, ensuring high-quality diagnostic imaging while providing compassionate care to patients undergoing cardiovascular and electrophysiology interventions.
This role contributes directly to improving the health outcomes of community members by facilitating timely and accurate diagnostics in one of the busiest trauma centers in the region. Legacy Emanuel also offers a progressive pay scale ranging from $48.69 to $80.61 per hour based on experience levels (Tech Levels I-IV), along with various shift differentials and standby pay, ensuring competitive compensation. Job Requirements
- One to three years previous experience in angiography or cardiac catheterization depending on level
- current applicable state licensure for Radiological Technologist
- current national registration in Radiography
- BLS provider certification
- ACLS certification
- demonstrated proficiency with Cath Lab equipment
- ability to work varied shifts including evenings, nights, and weekends
- strong communication and patient care skills
- commitment to maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations
Job Qualifications
- Graduate of certified radiologic technology program
- proficiency in Cath Lab x-ray table equipment operation
- knowledge of Cath Lab product inventory
- current applicable state licensure for Radiological Technologist
- current national registration in Radiography
- BLS for Providers certification
- ACLS certification (required for Levels II-IV, Level I within six months of hire)
- advanced certifications such as RCIS, CI, or VI preferred
- demonstrated expertise in angiography and cardiac catheterization procedures
Job Duties
- Perform imaging procedures according to physician's orders
- utilize knowledge and judgment regarding exposure factors, imaging technique, and patient treatment
- provide highest quality care using advanced cardiovascular and electrophysiology technologies
- operate necessary Cath Lab equipment proficiently
- adhere to safety and infection control standards
- collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support diagnosis and treatment
- maintain accurate patient records and documentation
