This role focuses on assisting management in overseeing catering and events operations to enhance sales, drive store traffic, and increase guest engagement. The Catering and Events Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the planning and execution of special events and activities, including coordinating catering deliveries, set-ups, serving, and clean-ups. The position demands a mix of excellent customer service, operational coordination, and leadership to help train and develop team members. Responsibilities include estimating food quantities for events, suggesting appropriate menus, and working closely with talent bookings such as musicians and guest chefs to promote the catering experience. Job Duties
- Apply knowledge of catering/events products to handle and satisfy customer requests
- assist customers in planning special events including estimating food quantities and suggesting menus
- coordinate talent bookings including musicians, guest chefs, and entertainers
- support catering operations such as delivery, arrangement, set-up, serving, and clean-up
- maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary work environment
- provide friendly customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and taking special orders
- promote product sales through suggestive selling
- assist in coordinating departmental work schedules
- train and develop partners for catering and special events
- work with department manager providing feedback on performance
- adhere to quality control and food safety standards including stocking and rotating prepared foods
- stack pallets and sort products according to company standards
