Job Description

The DuPont Country Club, nestled within the rolling hills of the historic Brandywine Valley, stands as one of the premier venues for promoting leisure activities with championship caliber golf courses, state-of-the-art tennis facilities, pools, and an updated fitness center. Known for its elegantly decorated rooms and magnificent natural surroundings, the club offers customized event planning coupled with impeccable service to ensure every event is truly special. The facility combines luxury and comfort to create memorable experiences for its members and guests in a welcoming and breathtaking environment.

Currently, DuPont Country Club is seeking a part-time Catering Supervisor to join their dedicated team. This role is integral in providing exceptional experiences for guests during club events and functions. The Catering Supervisor is tasked with organizing the events of the day, ensuring seamless coordination between the Banquets and Housekeeping staff. Responsibilities include meeting with event hosts to understand their requirements, setting the daily agenda, overseeing the proper execution of parties, and organizing the start point for the next shift. The supervisor also ensures that all event setups are properly arranged and maintained throughout the event. This position demands a professional who is highly organized, dependable, and adaptable, with strong interpersonal and leadership skills to manage the diverse needs of the team and guests. By maintaining high standards and effective communication, the Catering Supervisor plays a pivotal role in upholding the quality and reputation of the DuPont Country Club’s events.

Job Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
  • Two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • ABC card certification
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Must be dependable and adaptable

Job Duties

  • Organize and oversee daily events at the club
  • Coordinate with Banquets and Housekeeping staff for event execution
  • Meet with event hosts to discuss and plan event details
  • Set daily agenda for all event operations
  • Ensure event setup is correct and meets club standards
  • Organize and communicate start point for following shift
  • Provide leadership and support to team during events
