The role demands hands-on involvement in daily food preparation tasks including cooking, portion control, maintaining cleanliness, and food safety compliance. The position also involves setting up and breaking down service stations, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment, and accurately disposing of waste. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior food service experience preferred
- Serve Safe Certification required
- strong communication skills
- ability to lift and transport hot food items frequently
- ability to work on feet for extended periods
- willingness to wear uniforms and personal protective equipment
- ability to follow health and safety protocols
- ability to work flexible hours including special events when needed
Job Qualifications

- food service experience preferred
- ability to work inside kitchen area with heated equipment, steam, loud noise, chemicals, and other at-risk conditions
Job Duties
- Lead all aspects of and assist in preparation of food items for the day and dating products
- coordinate and assist in setting up and breaking down stations designated by the manager
- cook and prepare foods according to recipes and directions
- use accurate portions when preparing and serving items on the line
- maintain daily temperature logs
- take samples of all food items on the line prior to serving customers
- alert management and pull food items that do not meet quality expectations
- complete opening and closing station checklists
- greet customers as they approach and leave the serving line
- ask customers about the quality of their service and handle complaints while maintaining a positive attitude
- coordinate and assist in maintaining a clean work station including floors, work areas, equipment, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks
- ensure all work areas and serving utensils are cleaned and sanitized
- dispose of waste accurately from the service line
- transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or cart
- assist with daily safety observations and report safety hazards immediately
- cross-train in areas as needed
- work in concessions, catering, and special events as required
- perform tasks as requested by manager regularly
- complete any task requested by supervisor or management
- lead and advise employees on the line to ensure timely and effective customer service
- request support from utility workers for sanitation issues as needed
