Job Description

The position of Catering Supervisor at the University of Findlay, working under Sodexo, is a full-time role with a pay range of $16 to $20 per hour. The role requires open availability as the shifts and workdays vary. As a Catering Supervisor, you will be a key figure in maintaining the high standards of food service quality and customer satisfaction across multiple dining formats such as fast casual, coffee and counter service, cafeterias, events and banquets, casual dining, and cafes. Your responsibilities will include overseeing routine work activities of service employees and supporting management in delivering seamless food operations. This role demands strong multitasking skills, leadership, and a dedication to creating a safe and positive work environment for staff. You will facilitate employee orientation and training, handle customer concerns, ensure adherence to safety standards, and uphold Sodexo's commitment to quality and service excellence. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of one year related work experience
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to work varying shifts including days and hours with open availability
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • Provide support to management in the daily oversight of key functions and employees during the normal course of business
  • Assist in ensuring a safe working environment throughout the facility for all employees
  • Facilitate orientation and training of employees
  • Work with customers to ensure satisfaction in such areas as quality, service, and problem resolution
  • Attend work and show for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
  • Perform other duties as assigned that may differ among accounts based on business necessities and client requirements
