The Catering Specialist at Plum Market plays a pivotal role in supporting the growth and success of the catering operations. This position is responsible for coordinating and executing catering orders received in-store, online, and over the phone, ensuring that all aspects of catering meet the company’s high standards for exceptional food quality and service.   • Willingness to support deliveries and on-site events

Job Qualifications

  • Prior experience in catering, foodservice, or event coordination preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at once
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
  • A service-first mindset and a desire to exceed Guest expectations
  • Ability to plan, sell, and execute catering orders with efficiency and professionalism
  • A strong understanding of catering operations and customer service best practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Excellent driving record and willingness to support deliveries or on-site events
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical ability to stand and walk for up to 4 hours without a break
  • Ability to bend and stoop to grasp objects, climb ladders, lift up to 50 lbs unassisted, and push/pull carts weighing up to 100 lbs unassisted

Job Duties

  • Serve as a primary contact for Guests placing catering orders in person, online, or by phone
  • Coordinate event details, logistics, and timelines for corporate and private clients
  • Prepare and package catering orders for delivery or pickup
  • Ensure food quality, presentation, and timing meet Plum Market’s standards
  • Support event execution including on-site setup and service as needed
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to drive repeat business and positive referrals
  • Communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members, Store Leadership, and Prepared Foods leadership
  • Support training and mentorship of Team Members involved in catering operations
  • Maintain accurate records of orders, delivery logs, and client feedback
  • Uphold all Plum Market policies, procedures, food safety standards, and operating practices
