Job Requirements

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of culinary experience preferably in catering banquets or high-volume events
  • Formal culinary training or equivalent professional experience required
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing kitchen staff
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly in fast-paced changing environments
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and certifications ServSafe preferred
  • Flexible schedule including evenings weekends and holidays as required by event schedule
  • Valid driver's license preferred for off-site catering support
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs as needed
  • Work in varying environments including kitchens outdoor venues and event sites

Job Duties

  • Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations including prep cooking plating and event execution
  • Lead and mentor kitchen staff ensuring proper training consistency and adherence to company standards
  • Maintain food quality taste and presentation standards at every stage of production
  • Ensure compliance with health safety and sanitation regulations
  • Manage kitchen inventory including ordering receiving and proper storage of ingredients and supplies
  • Collaborate with event managers and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth execution of catering events
  • Troubleshoot challenges during off-site catering events with professionalism and efficiency
  • Assist in cost control through portion management waste reduction and vendor negotiations
  • Uphold a culture of teamwork respect and excellence within the culinary team
