The role of Catering Services Worker at Aramark is instrumental in supporting the event operations team to deliver seamless and successful catering events at various locations. This position involves a variety of tasks ranging from event set up, transportation of equipment and supplies, food and beverage service during events, to post-event cleanup and breakdown. Catering Services Workers play a crucial role in ensuring high standards of service and guest satisfaction. They are responsible for setting up chairs, tables, buffet lines, and all necessary event equipment in accordance with the banquet event order or client specifications. During events, they replenish food and beverage items as needed, maintain cleanliness and appearance of service areas, and provide excellent customer service with a focus on guest experience.

The role demands physical activity such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, long periods of standing and walking, and occasionally the use of personal protective equipment or uniforms. Flexibility in working hours is essential due to the event-based nature of the job, which may require availability during evenings, weekends, or holidays. Additionally, the Catering Services Worker must complete relevant Food Handling and Alcohol Service training to comply with safety standards and company policies. Independence and the ability to work with limited supervision are valuable traits for success in this role. Job Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous customer service experience preferred
  • Physical ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and stand or walk for extended periods
  • Ability to work flexible, event-based hours including evenings and weekends
  • Must be able to complete Food Handling and Alcohol Service training
  • Must adhere to company dress code and personal protective equipment policies
  • Reliable transportation to event locations

Job Qualifications

  • Previous customer service experience preferred
  • Previous catering experience preferred
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Must follow the required dress code as assigned
  • Must be available to work event-based hours
  • Must be able to complete Food Handling and Alcohol Service training as required

Job Duties

  • Set up catering and event service according to client/customer requests and banquet event order
  • Transport and deliver catering food and beverage with all vital supplies and equipment
  • Set up chairs, tables, buffet lines and other event equipment as requested in banquet event order
  • Replenish food and beverage products during events
  • Maintain appearance and cleanliness of food service areas during events
  • Pick up and clean up food and beverage deliveries after service
  • Break down and clean area after the conclusion of the events and return equipment to accurate storage
  • Provide excellent customer service to all guests
  • Follow safety policies and procedures
