The role of Catering Service Worker Lead at Aramark involves supervising and supporting the planning and execution of catering events of various sizes and levels at both central and satellite locations. This position is integral in ensuring that all catering brand standards and corporate initiatives are consistently met or exceeded. The Catering Service Worker Lead plays a vital role in fostering a safety culture, one where workplace injuries are actively prevented and the work environment remains safe for all employees and guests. This leadership role entails direct supervision of catering operations including coordination of staff and rental equipment, set-up, preparation, service, and breakdown of catered food and beverage events. The lead assists with booking events, selecting menu items, and pricing to meet clients' needs. Additionally, this role supports human resources functions such as hiring, discipline, and performance evaluations.
The Catering Service Worker Lead also coordinates activities closely with other internal departments and actively participates in management meetings. Engaging with vendors and key service users within the client organization is a critical part of the position, ensuring smooth communication and event execution. As a representative of Aramark and the client, the lead facilitates external customer relations attending meetings and events to uphold the company’s reputation and service standards. Maintaining sanitation, organization, and safety standards through checklists, hands-on supervision, and follow-up is essential to the role, as is participating in and helping to develop training programs for hourly, part-time, and student employees. Finally, the lead aids in implementing and enforcing Aramark’s Operational Excellence (OpX) Catering initiatives and guidelines, ensuring continuous improvement and high-quality service delivery across all catering events.
This role may include physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking or standing during events. Uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required. Job Requirements

- Booking of events, selecting and costing menu items, and pricing as needed
- Assists with hiring, discipline, and performance reviews
- Coordinates activities with other internal departments
- Participates in management team meetings

- Facilitate external customer relations
