The Catering Services Worker role at Aramark supports the event operations team in executing successful catering events within designated locations. This position is critical in ensuring that catering orders and events run smoothly, delving into various responsibilities such as event setup, transporting equipment and supplies, serving guests, and managing cleanup after events. The worker is tasked with delivering exceptional customer service throughout the event, working collaboratively with the team to meet and exceed client expectations. This role often involves physical demands including lifting, bending, pushing, and standing for extended periods, requiring the worker to adhere to safety policies and wear appropriate personal protective equipment when necessary.

Key responsibilities of the Catering Services Worker include setting up catering and event services according to client specifications and banquet event orders, transporting food and beverage supplies, arranging chairs, tables, and buffet lines, replenishing food and beverage products during the events, and ensuring cleanliness of food service areas. After events conclude, the worker is responsible for cleaning and breaking down the event space and returning equipment to storage. The role is event-based, requiring flexibility to work varied hours to meet event schedules. Training in Food Handling and Alcohol Service is mandatory to uphold high standards of safety and quality.

Job Requirements

  • Availability to work flexible event-based hours
  • Willingness to wear uniform and personal protective equipment
  • Ability to follow safety policies and procedures
  • Completion or willingness to complete Food Handling and Alcohol Service training
  • Must adhere to company dress code
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision

Job Qualifications

  • Previous customer service experience preferred
  • Previous catering experience preferred
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Must follow the required dress code as assigned
  • Must be available to work event-based hours
  • Must be able to complete Food Handling and Alcohol Service training as required

Job Duties

  • Set up catering and event service according to client or customer requests and banquet event order
  • Transport and deliver catering food and beverage with all vital supplies and equipment
  • Set up chairs, tables, buffet lines and other event equipment as requested in banquet event order
  • Replenish food and beverage products during events
  • Maintain appearance and cleanliness of food service areas during events
  • Pick up and clean up food and beverage deliveries after service
  • Break down and clean area after the conclusion of the events and return equipment to accurate storage
  • Provide excellent customer service to all guests
  • Follow safety policies and procedures
