Maintaining a clean, sanitary working environment and complying with health regulations is a critical part of the role.
In addition to managing the physical and operational elements of food service, the supervisor is expected to lead, evaluate, and support employees. This includes promoting teamwork, providing counseling, and encouraging employee growth and efficiency. The role demands strong organizational skills, the ability to resolve interpersonal issues, and emotional control under stress to maintain a productive work atmosphere.
Candidates can expect to work in an environment that may require physical activity such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of standing or walking. The use of uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for safety and compliance. A high school diploma or GED is the minimum education required, with additional sanitation training to be completed before or within the first year on the job.
Aramark offers comprehensive benefit programs to eligible employees, including medical, dental, vision coverage, and work/life resources. Additional benefits may include retirement savings plans like 401(k), paid time off including parental leave, and disability coverage.
