The role available is that of a Food Service Supervisor who will be responsible for the supervision, training, and management of the food service operation to ensure efficiency, food safety, quality, and exemplary customer service. This position requires producing and maintaining work schedules, preparing production records, and directing daily activities within the food service department. The supervisor will maintain food production standards that comply with health, safety, and company policies to deliver safe and high-quality food items. Additionally, they are tasked with ensuring that all food items are stored safely in an organized, hazard-free environment.
The Food Service Supervisor also oversees maintaining sanitary conditions in the department in line with health codes and regulations and manages inventory accurately on a weekly basis. This role involves preparing orders according to vendor requirements to ensure proper stock levels that support effective production. The supervisor is expected to operate cost-effective programs responsibly, supervise and evaluate personnel, provide employee counseling, and foster growth, efficiency, morale, and teamwork among the staff.
The position demands strong organizational and leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively. The role may require physical activities such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking or standing. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions
- Must complete a sanitation course either before or during the first year as a lead
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic
- Maintain emotional control under stress
- Ability to resolve interpersonal situations
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to lift, bend, push, pull and walk or stand for extended periods
- Must wear uniforms and/or personal protective equipment (PPE) as required

Job Duties
