The Catering Services Manager role at the Seattle Convention Center offers an exciting leadership opportunity within Aramark's dynamic hospitality division. This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of catering solutions and special events management at the Seattle Convention Center, a prominent venue known for hosting a wide range of events from corporate conferences to large-scale banquets and social gatherings. The manager will lead the catering team to deliver high-quality events aligned with client needs and Aramark’s standards of service excellence.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader to develop, coordinate, and execute catering plans that meet diverse customer expectations. This involves maintaining effective relationships with clients, ensuring accuracy in banquet event orders, and delivering consistent event quality. The Catering Services Manager will also be instrumental in recruiting, training, scheduling, and mentoring team members to uphold food safety, occupational health, and environmental regulations, as well as company policies.

This leadership role requires strong organizational and interpersonal skills, an eye for detail, and the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously while meeting budgetary and labor targets. Working hours are event-based and may include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Compensation for this position ranges from $81,000 to $85,000 annually. Job Requirements

  • Requires at least 2 years of experience
  • Prior experience in a management or supervisory role preferred
  • Previous experience in events, hospitality and catering preferred
  • Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Excellent written/interpersonal communication and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong digital literacy in Excel, Outlook, Word and other Microsoft Office Suite or related programs
  • Available to work event-based hours, which will include evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Complete Washington State Food Handlers, ServSafe Manager, and Alcohol Service Certifications as required
  • Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lb
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time

Job Duties

  • Develop and complete catering solutions to meet customers' needs
  • Develop and maintain effective client and customer rapport
  • Deliver consistent quality in planning and carrying out events
  • Facilitate the delivery of prepared food and set up of events crafted from banquet event orders
  • Assist clients in planning special events and providing creative solutions to clients' needs
  • Train and lead catering employees to ensure catering and event standards are followed ensuring quality in final presentation
  • Provide completed banquet event orders to team and provide quality assurance all requests are met prior to event
  • Responsible for delivering food and labor targets
  • Responsible for execution of catering events of varied size and scope including staffing and management
  • Ensure accurate reporting of all catering related revenue, expenses, and receivables
  • Recruit, train, schedule and develop team members
  • Ensure compliance with all food, occupational, and environmental safety policies
