Job Requirements
- minimum of 2 years experience in catering or event management
- bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- proven supervisory or management experience
- excellent communication and organizational skills
- digital literacy with microsoft office suite
- ability to work flexible event-based hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
- valid food handlers, servsafe manager and alcohol service certifications
- physical capability to lift up to 50 lb and stand for extended periods
- commitment to comply with food and safety regulations
Job Qualifications
- requires at least 2 years of experience
- prior experience in a management or supervisory role preferred
- previous experience in events, hospitality and catering preferred
- requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- excellent written/interpersonal communication and organizational skills
- strong attention to detail
- strong digital literacy in excel, outlook, word and other microsoft office suite or related programs
- available to work event-based hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
- complete washington state food handlers, servsafe manager, and alcohol service certifications as required
- requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lb
- ability to stand for extended periods of time
Job Duties
- develop and complete catering solutions to meet customers needs
- develop and maintain effective client and customer rapport
- deliver consistent quality in planning and carrying out events
- facilitate the delivery of prepared food and set up of events crafted from banquet event orders
- assist clients in planning special events and providing creative solutions to clients needs
- train and lead catering employees to ensure catering and event standards are followed ensuring quality in final presentation
- provide completed banquet event orders to team and provide quality assurance all requests are met prior to event
- responsible for delivering food and labor targets
- responsible for execution of catering events of varied size and scope including staffing and management
- ensure accurate reporting of all catering related revenue, expenses, and receivables
