Job Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years relevant experience
- At least 1-3 years management experience
- Experience in events and catering required
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Strong communication skills
- Availability to work event-based hours
- Must have Food Handlers and Alcohol Service Certifications
- Ability to perform physical activities including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, extended walking and standing
- Willingness to wear uniforms and Personal Protective Equipment when required
Job Qualifications
- At least 4 years of experience in catering or related field
- 1-3 years of experience in a management role
- Previous experience in events and catering
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work event-based hours
- Food Handlers and Alcohol Service Certifications as required
- Ability to train and lead teams
- Knowledge of budgeting and financial management
- Customer service orientation
Job Duties
- Coordinate total catering operations including booking events, supervising teams, selecting and costing menus, pricing, hiring, and administration
- Be responsible for all aspects of preparation, service, and cleanup across multiple catering operations
- Develop and implement catering solutions to meet customer needs
- Develop and maintain effective client and customer rapport
- Develop and implement an annual marketing plan for catering including sales strategies and budget management
- Establish and implement service and presentation standards ensuring compliance and consistency
- Implement new services to support base business growth and client retention
- Advise clients, customers, and staff on current catering trends and products
- Facilitate delivery of prepared food based on banquet event orders
- Participate in the sales process and contract negotiations and assist clients in planning special events
- Train and lead catering employees ensuring standards are followed
- Set and deliver sales, food, and labor targets
- Manage execution of catering events including staffing and management
- Oversee accounting functions including accurate reporting of catering revenue, expenses, and receivables
- Ensure compliance with all food, occupational and environmental safety policies
