Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • follow up periodically to assist with additional guest needs or requests
  • demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients
  • advise guests on appropriate food and drink combinations and accommodate reasonable requests
  • communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure order accuracy and special requests
  • maintain exceptional communication skills and work well with others
  • address guest complaints or issues promptly and relay information to supervisors
  • promote and maintain a clean, safe, and neat environment
  • operate dining room equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, and beverage machines
  • perform job duties collaboratively during special events
  • ensure proper setup and cleanup of dining areas
  • perform other duties as assigned
