Levy is currently hiring for a Food and Beverage Server position that offers competitive wages ranging between $18.00 and $20.00 per hour. In this role, the Food and Beverage Server plays a vital part in creating memorable dining experiences for guests. Responsibilities include promptly greeting guests with warmth and professionalism, efficiently taking food and beverage orders, and ensuring timely delivery with proper sanitation and food safety standards. Candidates must demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of menu items and ingredients to advise guests accurately and accommodate special dietary needs or allergen concerns. The role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with back-of-the-house kitchen staff to ensure accurate and special requests are met.

The position demands flexibility, patience, and a customer-centric mindset to handle guest interactions effectively, including addressing any complaints or special requests. Food and Beverage Servers are expected to maintain a clean and safe dining environment, handle monetary transactions according to established procedures, and operate various equipment such as iced tea and soda machines, coffee machines, soup wells, and telephones.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior food and beverage service experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • follow up periodically to assist with additional needs or requests
  • demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advise guests on appropriate combinations
  • accommodate reasonable requests and note preferences
  • communicate with back-of-the-house staff to ensure orders are delivered correctly and special requests are accommodated
  • collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • promote a clean, safe and neat environment for guests
  • promptly address complaints or issues and relay relevant information to supervisor
  • ensure the dining room is properly set up prior to and after service periods
  • operate a variety of equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea and soda machines, soup wells and coffee machines
  • work with staff of other departments during special events and functions
  • perform other duties as assigned
