Job Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • 0 to 1 year related experience
  • minimum age to serve alcohol based on local regulations if applicable
  • valid TIPS or TEAM certification if required
  • ability to walk or stand for extended periods

Job Qualifications

  • if applicable, must be at or over the minimum age to serve alcohol based on local city and state regulations
  • may require valid TIPS, TEAM, or equivalent alcohol-service certification
  • must comply with all state-specific alcohol training requirements

Job Duties

  • Greet and seat guests
  • present menus and introduce specials or menu changes
  • provide knowledgeable recommendations on meals, beverages, and wine

  • accurately take and relay orders to the kitchen
  • confirm orders with guests and process them in the correct sequence
  • check all items for quality and completeness, ensuring presentations are attractive, appetizing, and consistent
  • monitor guest needs, respond to requests, and address concerns or complaints professionally
  • perform significant walking or other means of mobility
  • walk or stand for extended periods throughout the entire duration of a shift
  • reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull
