Job Description

Swift + Company is a distinguished catering company located at 1283 N Post Oak Road in Houston, Texas. Renowned for delivering exceptional catering services and event planning expertise, Swift + Company has built a solid reputation in the hospitality industry. The company prides itself on its dedicated team, innovative approach to event management, and commitment to client satisfaction. By continuously evolving and adapting to the dynamic event industry trends, Swift + Company remains a preferred choice for corporate events, social gatherings, and large-scale celebrations within the Houston area and beyond.

As a catering company, Swift + Company specializes in providing full-service catering solutions that encompass food production, event coordination, rental equipment management, and personalized client interaction. The team's professionalism and attention to detail ensure every event runs smoothly and memorably from conception to completion.

The role of Catering Production Coordinator at Swift + Company is a pivotal position, blending administrative support with hands-on event management responsibilities. The coordinator will be an integral member of the catering team, responsible for a range of duties that require organizational skills, communication prowess, and operational flexibility. This role includes managing customer inquiries through phone communication, maintaining office organization through diligent filing and document management, and supporting the development and implementation of special projects and research within assigned deadlines.

Additionally, the Catering Production Coordinator will play an active role on the day of events by acting as an event production assistant, which involves direct interaction with clients, managing waitstaff, closing parties, and following up with event planners to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns. The coordinator will also take charge of showroom presentation, keeping the display areas clean, organized, and fully stocked with rental equipment essential for events.

A significant part of this position includes attending industry-related functions as assigned by management, allowing the coordinator to stay informed on current trends and broaden their network within the event and catering sector. They may also be required to fill in for other positions when necessary, ensuring smooth operation across the business. The responsibility of attending job site walkthroughs at the request of the catering manager further reflects the role's involvement in pre-event preparation and logistic management.

Given the nature of the catering industry, flexibility in working hours is essential. The candidate must be willing to work nights, weekends, and during peak seasons to accommodate the demanding schedules of Swift + Company's clientele. The position also offers professional development opportunities, as the coordinator will have the chance to be trained and developed as a sales team member upon demonstrating adequate knowledge and skill proficiency.

Swift + Company is committed to maintaining a professional, innovative, and team-oriented work environment. Employees in this role benefit from working in a fast-paced, creative setting that fosters growth and skill expansion in event management, customer service, and sales operations. Additionally, the company supports its staff with benefits such as medical insurance coverage and a drug-free workplace policy, ensuring a safe and secure work atmosphere for all team members.

This comprehensive position requires a proactive individual who thrives in organizational multitasking and excels in communication, ethical conduct, and client relationship management. The Catering Production Coordinator will be a valued team player who contributes not only to the operational success of catered events but also to the overall professionalism and reputation of Swift + Company within the hospitality industry.
