This is a career-defining opportunity to join the Four Seasons Hotel and Residences Fort Lauderdale as a Catering Sales Manager. In this role, you will be part of a dynamic team passionate about delivering premier service and outstanding event management. Your primary responsibility will involve coordinating with multiple departments to optimize function space utilization, negotiate with clients, and ensure seamless execution of catering and banquet events. You will be entrusted with creating attractive event proposals, managing event details, tracking client interactions, and driving maximum revenue while fostering long-term client satisfaction. The role demands strong leadership skills, creativity, multitasking ability, and exceptional organizational capabilities. You will work closely with internal teams and external clients to achieve quarterly sales goals and expand the hotel’s catering business. The experience you bring will include 2-3 years in hotel catering and conference services and leadership experience in a luxury hotel environment.

The position includes attending and contributing to various meetings such as morning operations briefings, pre-convention meetings, and planning visits. Additionally, the role requires maintaining a visible presence within the industry through participation in associations and networking to stay informed about competitive facilities. Authorization to work in the United States is necessary unless the candidate already holds a managerial role within another Four Seasons location, with potential L-1 visa sponsorship available to current Four Seasons managers. Job Requirements

  • authorization to work in the united states is required unless the candidate is currently in a managerial role with another four seasons location
  • current four seasons managers may qualify for an l-1 visa sponsorship
  • two to three years of related hotel catering and conference services experience
  • previous leadership experience in a luxury hotel setting
  • college degree preferred or similar experience
  • reading, writing and oral proficiency in the english language
  • proven interpersonal skills with a track record of successful client interactions

Job Duties

  • coordinate with the sales department and catering to ensure proper utilization of function space to yield maximum revenues
  • negotiate with clients through the use of creative and attractive menu presentations and event proposals to achieve maximum revenue/profit potential and fulfillment of contractual responsibilities while satisfying client needs
  • finalize the requirements of confirmed bookings while maximizing revenue potential through up selling and ensuring effective communication both written and personal contact with all departments for the success of the event
  • maintain an active trace/follow-up system and ensure accuracy of banquet checks and provide bill review on completion of program or event
  • supervise the execution of banquet events, review all function space with banquet manager and when necessary, head house attendant and ensure satisfaction of client at the outset of all events
  • plan and/or attend and/or participate in meetings with hotel staff and clients including but not exclusive to morning operations briefing, morning cs briefing, resume meeting, banquet event order meeting, sales meeting, pre-convention meetings, bi-monthly board of operations, planning visits, and menu tastings
  • actively solicit new business and respond to inquiries to confirm profitable corporate/social events business and achieve quarterly sales goals
  • assist in developing and executing projects for assigned market areas to increase catering activity, volume, and profit
  • be fully versed in the facilities and capabilities of the hotels competitive set and maintain a visible presence in the community through involvement with industry associations
