The role of Catering Sales Manager is a crucial position within HHM Hotels, aimed at achieving catering department goals by selling and servicing banquet and meeting functions. Account management is another core component of the role, requiring meticulous attention to detail in handling accounts, preparing banquet event orders (BEOs), and group resumes. The Catering Sales Manager is also tasked with preparing client presentations and entertaining clients as necessary to secure new business. This role demands excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to provide clear direction to staff and maintain high levels of client satisfaction.
The Catering Sales Manager must also uphold safe work practices, following MSDS and OSHA standards, ensuring a safe environment for both staff and guests. Flexibility in work schedule is essential, as the position may require working on holidays, weekends, and extended hours. Physical demands include standing for prolonged periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.

Job Requirements
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in hospitality or related industry preferred
- Proven track record in catering and banquet sales required
- Ability to work varying schedules including holidays and weekends
- Capability to stand for extended periods walk push lift up to 25 pounds bend reach stoop kneel or crouch
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to coach and lead a team effectively
Job Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in hospitality or related industry preferred
- Proven track record in catering and banquet sales required
Job Duties
- Interview select train schedule coach and support associates ensuring they perform in accordance with established brand or hotel standards and consistent with HHM core values
- Oversee all catering sales targeted towards existing and new corporate and social markets
- Solicit new business making prospecting calls and outside client visits
- Maximize revenue by selling all facets of the hotel both orally and in written form to previous current and potential clients
- Handle account details ensuring all pertinent aspects of solicitation and closing are complete and documented
- Service accounts including BEOs and Group Resumes when necessary
- Prepare information for meet with and entertain clients as deemed appropriate to obtaining potential business from that account
