Job Description
Seacrest Beach Resort is a prestigious hospitality establishment nestled along the picturesque coastline, offering guests a luxurious and memorable experience. Known for its beautiful beachfront location, the resort has established itself as a premier destination for weddings, social events, and corporate gatherings. As part of the Echelon Luxury & Lifestyle division of HHM Hotels, Seacrest Beach Resort prides itself on delivering exceptional service, refined accommodations, and an array of upscale amenities that cater to the discerning traveler as well as event organizers. The resort operates year-round, maintaining high standards of excellence in hospitality and continually striving to enhance guest satisfaction through innovative and personalized service.
Within this esteemed resort, the role of Catering Manager is a vital position, responsible for overseeing and servicing all social catering opportunities such as weddings, in-house events, and other special occasions as directed by the Director of Catering (DOC) with support from the Director of Sales and Marketing (DOSM). The Catering Manager plays a key role in ensuring that every event is executed flawlessly, aiming to exceed guest expectations on every occasion. Compensation for this position ranges from $60,000 to $68,000 annually, depending on experience, with an additional opportunity to earn up to a 20% quarterly incentive following the first 90 days of employment.
This role involves managing the entire catering process from the initial client interaction through event completion, ensuring all details are meticulously handled. The Catering Manager is tasked with cultivating strong relationships with clients, upselling menu enhancements to maximize wedding revenue, and showcasing all the resort’s outlets and features to potential, current, and previous clients. This position also requires extensive use of the Delphi system to manage communications, bookings, and follow-up actions efficiently. The Catering Manager serves as the main point of contact during events when requested by clients, ensuring seamless coordination among all hotel departments and delivering an outstanding event experience.
The role is dynamic and requires a proactive approach to maintaining the resort’s reputation as a sought-after wedding and event venue. The Catering Manager will engage in a variety of tasks, including conducting site walks, planning and executing wedding tasting events in collaboration with the DOC, accurately preparing resumes and Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), managing deposit policies, and attending meetings as directed by management. Flexibility is essential as the work schedule varies and may include holidays and weekends, aligned with event needs. Physical demands include frequent walking, occasional lifting, bending, and the use of hands for keyboard operation, all demanding a high level of stamina and attention to detail.
Seacrest Beach Resort emphasizes a culture rooted in values such as capability, service-minded hearts, pursuit of excellence, agility, and accountability. This role offers a clear growth path towards higher leadership positions such as Director of Catering or Group Sales Manager, providing nurturing grounds for professional development within a supportive and inclusive work environment. As an equal opportunity employer under the HHM Hotels umbrella, the resort champions diversity and nondiscrimination, fostering a welcoming workplace for all employees regardless of race, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, or any protected status.
For candidates passionate about hospitality and event management, the Catering Manager position at Seacrest Beach Resort offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a premier luxury resort brand while advancing their career in a dynamic and rewarding setting.
