Job Description

We are a distinguished hotel specializing in providing exceptional venues and services for meetings, events, and catering needs. Our establishment prides itself on delivering memorable experiences through a blend of sophisticated event spaces, outstanding food and beverage offerings, and excellent customer service. As a prominent player in the hospitality industry, we focus extensively on creating tailored events that exceed client expectations while maximizing revenue opportunities. Our dedicated team works harmoniously across departments to ensure seamless coordination from event inception to completion, making us a preferred choice for corporate meetings, weddings, social gatherings, and other special occasions.

The Catering Sales Manager plays a pivotal role in our hotel by generating and managing catering and event business. This role is essential in maximizing revenue through the sale of meeting space, food, beverage services, and related offerings, coupled with the delivery of exceptional client service. The Catering Sales Manager is responsible for developing strong client relationships, skillfully negotiating contracts, and ensuring seamless day-of-event execution by partnering closely with hotel operations teams.

This position requires an individual who can solicit and book new catering and event business while conducting site tours and showcasing the hotel's offerings to prospective clients. The Catering Sales Manager negotiates pricing and contracts, consistently strives to achieve or exceed revenue goals, and implements upselling strategies to increase overall sales. Acting as the primary client contact, this role involves designing customized events tailored to each client's unique needs, coordinating every logistical detail, maintaining ongoing relationships, and preparing accurate Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) to ensure flawless execution.

Collaboration with various departments is critical in this role, including conducting pre-conference meetings to align on event details and addressing any issues promptly to uphold client satisfaction. The Catering Sales Manager must have strong communication and negotiation skills to nurture repeat business and contribute meaningfully to the hotel's revenue growth. Previous experience with Delphi and Hilton systems is advantageous, alongside a solid understanding of food and beverage operations. A flexible schedule is necessary to accommodate evening and weekend events, and physical stamina is required to navigate the hotel and manage materials weighing up to 25 pounds.

Success in this role is measured by the achievement of revenue targets, high client satisfaction levels, improved booking conversion rates, and the accuracy of event documentation. If you are passionate about hospitality, possess a strategic sales mindset, and thrive in a dynamic environment that demands excellence in event management, this opportunity offers a rewarding pathway to advance your career in the hotel industry.
