Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in sales or catering roles
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings and weekends
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to travel locally for meetings and events
  • Commitment to providing excellent customer service

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in sales, hospitality, or related field preferred

Job Duties

  • Proactively solicit, qualify, and secure group and catering business to achieve individual and hotel revenue goals
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients to drive repeat business and long-term loyalty
  • Respond promptly to catering and group sales inquiries, preparing proposals, contracts, and customized event solutions
  • Conduct site tours, client meetings, sales calls, and networking activities to promote the hotel and expand market presence
  • Partner closely with Event Management and Operations teams to ensure seamless event execution and exceptional guest experiences
  • Utilize strategic selling, negotiation, and upselling techniques to maximize revenue opportunities
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities
  • Deliver elevated customer service throughout the sales and event planning process in alignment with Westin and brand service standards
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure coordinated communication and successful program delivery
  • Maintain accurate sales records, reports, and systems while leveraging available sales tools and technology resources
