Pasea Hotel & Spa, located in the vibrant coastal city of Huntington Beach, California, is an exceptional hospitality establishment renowned for its luxurious accommodations, premium services, and breathtaking oceanfront views. As a key player in the hospitality industry, Pasea Hotel & Spa is part of the prestigious Pacific Hospitality Group, a family-focused company with a deep commitment to long-term growth and enriched guest experiences. Pacific Hospitality Group operates on a unique owner/operator model that values integrity, compliance, and principled entrepreneurship, aiming to create sustainable value while fostering strong community ties and honoring their guiding principles such as respect, humility, and fulfillment.
Pasea Hotel & Spa offers guests a blend of comfort and elegance, featuring state-of-the-art facilities including upscale dining options, a comprehensive spa, and versatile event spaces. The property is ideal for both leisure travelers seeking a relaxing beach getaway and business clients looking for sophisticated meeting venues. With a focus on delivering memorable experiences, the hotel not only prioritizes guest satisfaction but also invests in its team members’ professional development and long-term career growth.
The role available at Pasea Hotel & Spa is that of a Sales and Event Catering Specialist, an essential position responsible for driving the hotel’s revenue through effective sales strategies focused on public spaces, food and beverage services, and function planning. This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $90,000 annually. The successful candidate will be a dynamic salesperson skilled in identifying new business opportunities, cultivating relationships with clients, and coordinating detailed event logistics to exceed customer expectations.
In this role, the Sales and Event Catering Specialist will actively seek new business prospects by networking with various client segments, including travel managers, agents, consumers, and groups. The position demands a strategic approach to market penetration by researching local market trends and leveraging industry contacts to secure profitable engagements. This individual will also represent the hotel at trade shows, community events, and industry meetings, contributing to brand visibility and long-term client relationships.
This role requires a multifaceted skill set—strong communication abilities are essential for maintaining client engagement through consistent verbal and written interactions that foster loyalty and satisfaction. The specialist will analyze event needs, tailor proposals, and collaborate closely with hotel department managers to ensure seamless execution of all aspects such as space arrangements, menu planning, service delivery, and decor. Additionally, the role involves managing client data within the property’s computer systems, preparing reports, attending business review meetings, and continuously developing sales campaigns to adapt to evolving market demands.
Ideal candidates will bring at least two years of relevant experience in catering or event sales within a similar hotel, resort, or winery environment and possess knowledge of cost control measures for labor, food, beverage, and materials used in event planning. Experience with multicultural weddings and events is highly desirable, as the hotel welcomes a diverse clientele. The job also offers the opportunity to participate in familiarization trips and community engagement activities, strengthening professional networks and business development.
This position is perfect for individuals with a passion for hospitality sales and event management, who thrive in high-volume, time-sensitive environments, and have a strong desire to contribute to a team-oriented culture dedicated to excellence. The Pacific Hospitality Group supports continuous learning through training and ensures that employees have access to the resources needed to succeed.
Joining Pasea Hotel & Spa means becoming part of an esteemed company where customer focus, ethical business practices, and a commitment to quality service are at the core of daily operations. For professionals seeking to advance their career in hospitality sales while working in a stunning coastal setting, this opportunity offers both challenge and reward.
