The Catering Sales Manager role at PopUp Bagels is a key position within the company’s retail operations, reporting directly to the VP of Retail Operations. This exempt, hybrid role requires an energetic and results-driven professional who is comfortable traveling throughout South Florida—specifically between areas such as West Palm Beach, Miami, and Brickell—to cultivate and maintain strong client relationships. The role demands up to 60% travel time for client meetings, catering events, tastings, and internal collaboration. Living within South Florida is a must to ensure proximity and responsiveness to the local market. The Catering Sales Manager holds full responsibility for the catering sales funnel, encompassing lead generation, client acquisition, order management, event execution, and follow-up aimed at fostering repeat business and operational excellence.

In this role, the successful candidate will strategically grow catering revenue by identifying new market opportunities and nurturing existing client relationships to ensure continuous business expansion. They will engage in proactive client outreach including cold calling and personalized follow-ups, maintain detailed client lists and interaction histories, and deliver onsite tastings and presentations tailored to each client’s unique needs. This role also oversees quality control for delivery services, ensuring the PopUp Bagels brand experience is consistently top-notch. Financial responsibilities include accurate sales tracking, budget management, invoicing, and reporting.

This position offers a competitive base salary ranging from $55,000 to $65,000 per year, complemented by a commission-based bonus structure and incentives tied to revenue targets. Job Requirements

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 50-60% of the time within South Florida
  • Must reside in South Florida
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 2-5 years catering sales or related hospitality experience
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel independently
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 25-30 pounds occasionally
  • Comfortable working in variable restaurant and event environments
  • Willingness to work some early mornings, evenings, and weekends
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Self-starter with high ownership mindset
  • Ability to commute reliably within South Florida
  • Willingness to undergo background check

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration, marketing, or related field or equivalent professional experience
  • 2-5 years of catering sales, hospitality sales, event management, or food and beverage operations experience
  • Proven success in meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Experience managing client relationships in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with catering platforms, CRM systems, or event management software
  • Strong consultative selling and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to analyze sales metrics and performance data
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously

Job Duties

  • Drive incremental revenue growth through strategic sales efforts
  • Perform proactive cold calling and client outreach
  • Maintain and update client lists with detailed interaction histories
  • Conduct face-to-face client meetings including tastings and proposal presentations
  • Oversee order management and coordinate onsite catering events
  • Monitor delivery platform quality and manage preferred vendor relationships
